About Lilian

I have always loved children and have been babysitting since the age of 9. In middle and high school I ran a summer camp for neighborhood preschool-age children and led them in creative play and outdoor activities. I have danced ballet pre-professionally for 10 years and worked as a ballet teacher for the children's program at the International Ballet Academy in Cary, NC. At this time I taught several different ballet classes for children ages 3-14. While the upper level classes were more focused on ballet technique, the younger children's classes were focused on creative play and storytelling through movement... something that I would love to incorporate if you have a tiny dancer in your life. The past year and a half I have been nannying a little boy on the UES. He was 6 years old when we started and is now 8. We developed an amazing relationship and it was a joy to take care of him. My duties involved school pick-up and taking to extracurricular activities.
