Hello, my name is Lilah and for the past 11 years I have worked in the corporate world. I know that this background does not speak to your need for childcare experience, however I have been fortunate enough to find a family that was willing to give me a chance and have been a nanny for their 9-month-old son for a little over a month now. I also have five children of my own, my youngest being five, so I have relatively recent experience with newborns, toddlers and preschoolers. My goal with this career change is to find a more meaningful existence and flexibility to spend quality time with my family. Most importantly, I want to help guide our next generation. I believe wholeheartedly that early childhood education including reading and intellectual stimulation is essential even for newborns. Implementing a daily action plan that is specific to a child's interests is key. I look forward to working with new clients and helping provide the care and education every child deserves.

We enthusiastically recommend Lilah for any position. She has been our nanny this spring, primarily watching our 8 month old son while our 4.5 year daughter is at school. She is always on time, incredibly professional, and has brought a calming presence to our household. Our children both adore her. She spends her day playing on the floor with the baby, reading to him and watching carefully as he crawls all over the place. Lilah has been great about helping rotate his toys or suggesting different items (eg his now beloved ring stacker) based on his age. I hear her singing to him during diaper changes and having conversations with him about things out the window or something funny our dog is doing. She recently taught him to wave, and she has helped him with his nap schedule and becoming more comfortable falling asleep in his crib. The baby also has some feeding issues, and Lilah has been wonderful working with him on his OT exercises - which basically involves him playing with food and making a big mess, something that hasn’t fazed her at all. They spend time outside each day, going to nearby playgrounds or playing in the yard. Our son’s face lights up when he sees Lilah each day, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about him too. She has also been fantastic with our daughter, engaging her in conversation each morning and helping watch her during early release school days, etc. They recently built the coolest train track while the baby was napping. Lilah also goes above and beyond each day. For example, she started getting a snack and water for our daughter ready on days she knows whoever is coming home to relieve her would then be heading straight to school pickup. She is incredibly tidy, always picking up after herself and the baby, and it’s been a treat to come home to a tidied play space, despite the fact that the baby loves to pull each and every toy out. While Lilah has only been with us a couple of months, she has quickly become an integral part of our household. We would happily hire her for years, but my parents are retiring and want to spend the summer with the baby, and we have already committed for our son to begin at our daughter’s school this fall. I would recommend Lilah to anyone looking for a caring, professional and reliable nanny. I am happy to speak with anyone considering hiring Lilah - she can connect us. Erin
