I love helping seniors! Sometimes I feel like they are forgotten and it makes me so sad! I love talking with them, making them feel like they still have purpose! I have not worked with seniors as a paid job but I took care of my grandmother who had dementia and then my mother in law. I was consistent and they counted down the hours until I came to visit everyday. It gave them something to look forward to. I also helped my mother in law with bathing and the bathroom and cooked her food!
