About Lian

After 4 years of work in Pediatric Newborn Medicine, I completed my MPH in Maternal & Child Health at UNC, and then worked in research, nannied, & did post-bacc pre-med classes in Durham- I am now a 1st year med student. I love working with & caring for children, and building relationships with them as they learn and grow, especially in the infant stage as they are discovering their world. I'm currently open to one-time or date night babysitting- I love getting to know more local families! My goal is always to create an enthusiastic, compassionate, & stimulating environment for the kids, with a main focus on nurturing them so they feel heard, cared for, and loved. Past Experience (brief): nanny & babysitter for 6 sets of twins, ages 3mo-5 yrs; summer nanny for 2 girls ages 1&3; Assistant Preschool Teacher (3-4yr-olds) at Summer Science Program (3yr); taught pre-ballet & creative movement to ages 2-7yrs throughout college; volunteer caregiver (3-18 mo) at 2 centers for at-risk families.
