I am a compassionate caregiver and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with 18 years of experience in inpatient rehabilitation and acute care at a hospital with a Level I Trauma Center. I have worked with people of all ages, socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, and a wide range of diagnoses, including neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, geriatric, and medically complex conditions. I am experienced in supporting individuals with significant mobility limitations, including hands-on assistance with transfers, positioning, and daily activities. My background includes dementia care, fall prevention, recognizing changes in physical condition, and communicating concerns to families. My passion for caregiving began while helping an elderly woman who was legally blind. That friendship taught me the value of patience, companionship, and dignity.
