I have many years of experience, a unique set of skills, along with years of experience in psychotherapy, personal assistance, elder care, tutoring, teaching etc. I had been in practice as a psychotherapist for 4 years but due to having to take an extended break, am redoing my hours to finish licensure. This means you get my in depth experience helping people, being there for them with compassion, skill and knowledge in their hardest moments. For 4 years I worked with a woman in her 90s who was on and off hospice: I helped w/ meals, errands, worked with her nurses and doctors, advocated for her health, managed medications. I did organizational projects, planted vegetable gardens; ran her household. I also was her companion, edited and helped her publish a final book of poetry (I am also a professional writer/editor), as well as helped her face the struggles of chronic pain and end of life, and was requested to be by her bedside in the last days of her life, at 99 years of age.
