About Leya

Hi! I'm Leya, Im a medical student hoping to become a pediatrician one day! I've always loved working with kids and being someone families can trust. I spent 2 years working in the NICU, where I cared for newborns and learned so much about their needs, routines, and development. I've also babysat children ages 4, 6, and 9, and worked in a children's psychiatric unit, which taught me how to stay calm, patient, and supportive while helping kids through different situations. I'm energetic, warm, and dependable, and I love getting to know each child's personality, creating fun activities, and being part of their everyday moments. I'm hoping to find a family I can build a genuine connection with while balancing my medical school schedule. In my free time, you can find me practicing Taekwondo, reading a good book, or line dancing! One thing families should know about me is that I'm a big kid at heart, I love being silly, having fun, and joining in on their little adventures!
