About Lexie

I am planning to go to school for Occupational Therapy starting, and am hoping to get some hands-on experience with some special people before I start. I want to work with seniors because I believe they are sometimes an under-appreciated part of our community, and I want to be part of creating a better environment for them. I am willing to help do any household tasks and assist them with daily activities. I do have another job, which flexible if I am aware of changes in advance. This would be my first job caring for Seniors, but I have plenty of care experience with kids. I babysat, was a swim instructor, and did 180 hours at a clinic for kids with disabilities as an intern. I am interested in working with Seniors because it would offer me a better understanding of care across the age spectrum. I believe it is extremely important to help this specific community feel a sense of independence, high quality of life, and a sense of respect.
