About Leslie

I would describe myself as bubbly, kind, and creative. I currently work at the Eastside Student Center, where I lead youth programs that support students academically and socially. I've worked with children professionally since I was 16, but I've helped raise my siblings since I was five. Working with kids is my passion-I love helping them learn, grow, and feel supported. I'm fully bilingual in English and Spanish and have beginner ASL skills. I'm pursuing a degree in Education at Grand Canyon University. In my free time, I enjoy reading, crafting, and focusing on my studies. I'm seeking a full-time position where I can apply my skills in age-appropriate communication, decision-making, and family engagement. I have experience leading group activities, communicating with parents, and creating structured but fun learning environments. My goal is always to build safe, inclusive spaces where every child feels seen, heard, and valued.
