About LESLIE

As a swim instructor at a local swim academy, I am the instructor tasked with the newest swimmers, the ones who are often the most resistant and afraid. After I reveal that my name is "Miss Bubbles," while putting my face in the water to say it, students often laugh and repeat it, their own face in the water. When a child is resistant to floating on her back, I am busy whispering in her ear what body adjustments she can make in order to float. I carry this same attitude of calm and fun caring to every other interaction beyond swimming lessons, from bed time to wearing a bicycle helmet, to not picking on her sister. I'd describe my personality as a good listener, compassionate, and friendly. I like working with kids because I love engaging curiosity and imagination. I'm looking for a job that is helpful to exhausted parents or caregivers while engaging with the children in their lives.
