About Leslie

Hello! After caring for my parents full-time for 3 years, I have happily entered into a career in caregiving. My experience, now approximately 4 years, includes caring for someone with esophageal cancer (Dad), which involved specialized cooking and feeding tube maintenance, as well as being a companion for someone with dementia (Mom). I am employed as an RA at Clark Lindsey, and I've worked with several families in the Champaign Urbana community with issues such as Alzheimer's, ALS, and neurological disease. I have experience with transfers, bathroom assistance, bathing, feeding, and dressing. I can help with light housekeeping, laundry, cooking, companionship, walking, reading, and keeping physically active. I'm a volunteer for Carle Hospice, so I have completed a background check and Alzheimer's training. I'm also certified through the American Caregivers Association.
