About Leonora

In my 6 years of caregiving for older individuals than myself, I have gained lifelong friendships, wisdom, memories and knowledge. I have worked with men and women who have been affected with Dementia; Alzheimer's, Parkinson's etc. I have had the joy of getting a glimpse into who individuals were before their new way of life and learning to help navigate their new day to day. Like many others, my grandmother was affected with Alzheimer's. The knowledge I learned from many others before her, provided me with the ability to connect with her, understand her, and accept her for who she was not who she was labeled to be. I am studying more everyday to learn more about how the human mind works and how I can be a source of light and joy in just one person's life.
