I have been a trustworthy and compassionate caregiver for over 20 years! Originally from NY, I now reside in Delray Beach. I am a college graduate. My professional experiences as well as personal life experiences have given me the ability to work with a variety of people; caring for seniors with a variety of physical limitations, dementia, Alzheimer's, etc. I focus on private home care as I enjoy working in a more personalized one-one relationship. I am kind, patient, and understanding and will care for your loved one with the same attention and care I have given my own family. I can help with ADL skills, errands, companionship, transportation, medical management, doctor appointments and, when necessary be a liaison for the family. I am AHA-BLS certified in CPR and AED, and have a PBC ID Badge; which means I have been fingerprinted and had a background check by PBC. My availability is Monday-Friday for P/T care 9:00-5:00. Leila has been working with my elderly parents for over 7 years now and pretty much does everything for them. Initially it was more like companion care - meals, laundry, medication reminders, grocery shopping. As time passed, my mom’s Alzheimer’s symptoms got progressively worse and now Leila is hands-on assisting my mom with everything, including toileting, personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, walking, and sometimes eating. My dad is still mostly independent, but he’s slowing down and sometimes needs hand-on assistance also. Leila also manages the medical appointments, drives them to appointments, prescriptions, and schedules the household services. Leila has also consistently stepped in during emergencies when needed. Over the past year and a half, my mom’s caregiving needs have increased and we’ve added caregivers, and now they need 24/7 care so we need to change the schedule, otherwise Leila would be continuing with us. In addition to providing services, Leila has been a steadfast companion to both of my parents and we will be forever thankful for that. I highly recommend Leila as a caregiver!!
