My training as a caregiver started when I was 12 y/o as I have a physically handicapped brother. In 2006, I experienced to assist 13-15 elderly residents in an assisted living on my short visit in England. I prepared their meals, changed diapers, gave them their medicines, did personal care, cleaning, talked with them and listened to their stories. Born and raised in the Philippines, I value and respect elderly people. In fact, I stayed with my grandparents and had the chance to take care of my grandfather when he suffered from cancer. When my parents were sickly I was there to take care of them. I'm a friendly, trustworthy, reliable, responsible, compassionate, hard-working person. I love to cook and do some gardening work. Currently, I do companion care for an 85 y/o man and so far him and her daughter are grateful of my services. I consider them my extended family. Doing companion care is a ministry for me and not just merely a job.
