About Leighton

Bringing joy and nurturing care to children is my passion. My four years of babysitting experience have solidified my desire to positively impact young lives and support families. I hold a college degree and have completed coursework in Early Child Development. I also bring knowledge of working at the maquoketa valley school district with students everyday. I hope to continue those skills over summer helping the learning continue. I'm known for my patient, calm, creative, and friendly approach. I enjoy engaging children in outdoor sports, board games, puzzles, and educational activities. I'm also very comfortable enforcing household rules. I provide detailed daily reports, communicate verbally at pickup, and offer regular updates via text or phone call. I am certified in First Aid Training and CPR Training. I'm comfortable caring for one child and I'm willing to help with swimming supervision. I look forward to the possibility of bringing my enthusiasm and experience to your family.
