My teaching philosophy centers on building confidence and fostering a love for learning in an engaging, supportive, and patient environment. With a graduate degree and over 20 years of experience teaching elementary students, I actively listen to understand each student's learning style. I have experience in working with students with special needs. I vary my approach using visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions. Regular communication with parents keeps everyone informed and creates a collaborative environment. I connect challenging topics to real-world examples and celebrate small successes. Seeing a student's confidence grow is the most rewarding aspect of tutoring. I have a car and am comfortable tutoring at your home or a coffee shop. I look forward to helping your child succeed!
