About Leigh

My teaching practice centers on fostering student confidence and independence, all towards the goal of empowering them to reach their full potential. With six years of experience as a licensed Special Education Teacher in Colorado, I specialize in creating personalized learning plans for reading, writing, math, and executive functioning. I hold a Master's degree in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado and am endorsed in Special Education and Elementary Education (K-6). I hold READ Act and English Learner designations from CDE. I have extensive experience working with students to break down complex concepts into manageable steps, celebrating successes, and adapting my methods based on student engagement and communication.
