About Leigh

I would describe my personality as patient, caring, thorough, and committed. I love tutoring because I'm passionate about helping people gain a solid understanding of concepts and become confident independent learners. I'm looking for a job that fulfills my desire to help others. I wish to help fellow parents and children feel comfortable and safe when needing to hire help. I aim to utilize my decades (since 1990) of experience and skills to benefit those who hire me. In my spare time, I interact with music, talk and socialize with friends and family, walk and play with my dog, care for others, sing in church choir, help with children's programs, garden, and read and research. My tutoring skills include a strong grasp of concepts and strategies, the abilities to listen and communicate effectively while building rapport with my students, and the ability to adjust lessons to student needs such as applying learning styles and identifying gaps.
