I believe the one-on-one attention that students receive during tutoring can be a transformative experience for self-confidence and academic success. As a former teacher with over 20 years professional classroom experience, I have assisted students across a wide range of grade levels, subject areas, and individual needs, interests, and learning styles. I have worked with students in both traditional/public and private school settings, from pre-K to 2nd-year college students. My focus as an educator is specifically language-based, with an emphasis on understanding the core language and concepts of any subject area, in order to learn, enjoy learning, and to feel confident and successful as a student at any level. Most recently, I completed 5 years as a lead teacher in a multi-age Montessori elementary classroom for ages 6 - 9 (grades 1st, 2nd, and 3rd). I look forward to learning more about your child!
