About Leia

Hi there! I'm Leia. I have built a diverse and well-rounded foundation in education and child development. In high school, I served as a student mentor for an elementary student. This experience, combined with nannying and working at a daycare throughout high school and college, solidified my passion for working with children. I pursued a BS degree in Elementary Ed. leading to my current MN Elementary and Preschool teaching licenses. After graduating college, I spent my 1st year providing homeschool education in a private home setting. I then transitioned to teaching preschool at an immersion charter school. I took a year off from the classroom to prioritize my health and then went back as a substitute teacher in ISD 728. I'm looking for new opportunities to work with families by providing occasional evening/weekend care or academic support. My goal is to create a nurturing and engaging environment while also building strong relationships with families to support their unique needs.
