My mother and stepfather were diagnosed with Lewy-Body dementia and Alzheimer's disease two weeks apart in June 2018. I served as the primary caregiver for each of them. For my stepdad for just a year, and my mother for six years, but I would not have been able to do it without the support of my family and some wonderful friends that provided respite for us. I am hoping that I can provide the same kind of support for others who may just need a little break. I have a full-time job and am really just looking for some 3-6 hour shifts a couple of times a week. I truly enjoyed caring for my parents and helping them continue to find joy and feel safe and loved throughout their disease. I hope I can do the same for your loved one.
