About Leanne

For four years in high school, I volunteered weekly at Sunrise Senior Living of West Hills. I talked to residents, went on walks with them, and even sang for them. I've witnessed firsthand how important conversation, creativity, and companionship are to the aging mind, and no amount of medicine can replace these critical aspects of life. I've always had tremendous respect and admiration for seniors. I love the stories they tell, the perspectives they offer, and the strength they demonstrate. My grandmother is 93 years old, and my grandfather is almost 101 years old. They've always been like second parents to me. Unfortunately, they moved to Florida last year, so I can't see them as often as I'd like to. I miss them dearly, and therefore I look forward to and cherish the time I spend with incredible seniors like them.
