About Leaja

My name is Leaja, and caregiving has been a major part of my life since I was young. Starting around age 11, I helped care for my siblings who had significant disabilities, including muscular dystrophy and cerebral palsy. I provided hands-on care such as mouth-feeding, preparing meals, changing diapers, bathing, dressing, brushing their teeth, grooming, and maintaining their hygiene and comfort. I also helped with repositioning and mobility, took them on walks, and supervised them during daily activities. Beyond personal care, I provided companionship by playing video games, watching movies, talking, and spending quality time with them. This experience taught me patience, compassion, responsibility, attentiveness, and how to treat people with dignity and respect. Although my experience is family-based, I am comfortable assisting with personal care, feeding, hygiene, mobility, companionship, and daily routines.
