About Leah

I'm currently completing my internship year as a Marriage and Family Therapist in training and looking for some part time work. I currently do therapy with kids between 3 and 14 and their families. I have many years of experience nannying for families, with kids ranging from 4 months to 12 years old. I'm comfortable preparing meals, changing diapers, putting down for naps and bedtime, driving kids to activities, playing games, interactive and playful teaching subjects. I also have five years experience working as a cabin counselor at summer camps through YMCA and AHA, with kids ages 8-14. In 2014, I'm very educated in childhood development, interpersonal neurobiology, personality types, learning styles, positive reinforcement and creative/ experiential learning. I'm a huge fan of childcare approaches that encourage integrity, independence, leadership, creativity, problem solving, engaged learning, and free expression.
