About Leah

Hi, my name is Leah and I am a current student at West Chester University studying for my major in speech therapy specialized in the field of geriatrics. I have had passion for helping our elderly friends for my entire life and began volunteering in retirement homes as a middle schooler. My work came to a screeching halt when I went into full time care for my grandfather. Later in life I worked in Simpson Meadows Retirement home for a few years and learned all about escorting wheelchair and walker users, cooking and feeding safely, creating stimulating and reasonable exercises, and even how to provide in home care. Now I am looking for my next opportunity to help in a family.
