I have 4 kids of my own, ages 17, 15, 14 and 7. I have experience and a deep appreciation for all (the work) it takes to take care of babies and toddlers, raise teens, and keep a happy home. When my neighbors asked me to help them with their 7-month-old, I jumped at the opportunity and later realized that I LOVE WORKING WITH BABIES! It made me realize that I have a lot to offer both a baby and the family. I raised my kids in Point Loma and know the fun things to do around town- library days, nature walks, reading in the park, sitting on the front porch, listening to the birds sing. I also have a zoo and sea world pass that can be used for a free admission for kids. When I do a Venn diagram (listing my passions, career choices, what I value most) helping people move through transitions in life, sits at the very center. I like to help others move forward. My favorite is learning the cues that babies give us to help them get what they need. They are great teachers!

Leah nannied for us for Monday-Friday for about 6 months until I decided to become a stay at home mom. She was great at communicating and we felt that our son was truly cared for—he was always happy at the end of the day. She was incredibly helpful and supportive, always respectful of our preferences for how we wanted our child to be cared for. At the same time, she gently offered guidance based on her own experience as a mother, which we found reassuring and valuable—especially when we felt uncertain as new parents. She struck a perfect balance between being knowledgeable and being a great listener. We will definitely miss her!
