Hi, I'm Layne! I am a proud Virginian and graduate of the University of Virginia with my BA in English. I just completed my second year working as a full-time teacher at a Classical charter school. I have loved working with the 30 first graders in my class. Prior to teaching, I worked for 2 years as a full-time nanny for a family with three (now four) sweet children (aged 0-4). I have around eight years of experience working with children (nannying, camp counselor, in-school volunteer, teaching) and feel that it is one of my strongest attributes.
