About Layla

Hi! I'm Layla, a graduate student at UB pursuing my Master's in Biological Sciences. I graduated with high honors with my B. S. and have extensive experience tutoring and teaching children, including students with special needs. I tutor reading, writing, math, and science, including biology and chemistry. I have experience teaching children to read, strengthening reading comprehension and writing skills, helping with essays and school projects, and working with students who need concepts explained in different ways. I'm good at figuring out how each student learns best and breaking difficult concepts down in a way that makes sense to them. I can also help with homework, organization, study skills, and test prep. My goal is not just to get through an assignment, but to help students understand what they're doing and become more confident working independently.
