About Laya

I'd describe my personality as Flexible, Focused, and Funny! I am ready to accommodate to your family's needs with a smile. I like working with kids because it brings me fulfillment to help them reach their goals. In my work experience that's looked like everything from helping 1's learn to sort colors to helping middle schoolers learn to recognize frustration and regulate. I find joy in working with all age groups and believe every child with the right support has unlimited potential! I started working as a babysitter when I was 11 years old. Since then I've continued to babysit/nanny but have also worked with kids as an after school PE teacher, tutor, youth program coordinator, and camp counselor! My skills include tutoring (specifically reading and writing support), working with children with disruptive or difficult behaviors, and providing new, fun, and enriching activities!
