About Lavern

My first experience with Home Care was at the age of 19. My oldest sister's husband fell Gravely ill and his constant pain and suffering touched something deep down on the inside of me. I had never been in touch with this part of myself before, maybe because I was never this close to a very sick person before. I was desperate to find a way, to do something, anything to make him better or just to ease his pain long enough for him to get some sleep. I did everything I possibly could including sitting with him during the day time and sometimes all night. I knew during those months that I was here for this purpose. I have since worked with patients with Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, patients who had Brain Aneurysms and patients who are just old and tired and need love, patience and general care. I write poetry and short stories.
