About Laurisa

Hi! I'm Laurisa. I'm 25 and have been working as a PCA for my special needs niece for 3 years. I help her with getting ready for school, personal hygiene, meals, daily routines, and making sure she is safe. This has taught me a lot about one-on-one care and the importance of patience and consistency. I also worked at a daycare for about 11 months, mainly in the toddler room. I helped with routines, activities, meals, diapering, and keeping the room safe and organized. I tend to take some time to observe the environment, the child's personality, behaviors, and routines before jumping in. I'm patient and prefer a calm environment. I enjoy simple activities like arts and crafts and finding things the child is interested in. I'm also observant and good at noticing small changes, and I communicate those changes with parents. I'm mainly looking for childcare work during school hours while my niece is at school.
