About Laurie

I'd describe my personality as empathetic, fun and responsible. I like working with kids because as an empty nester I miss the days when my children were younger. I'm looking for a job that can supplement my full time gig and help make ends meet. I want to help families with reliable child care nights and weekends. I started working with kids when I was about 12. Babysitting local children and initially getting my undergraduate degree in Special Education back in 1990. I have moved into another professional field, but have always loved children. In my spare time, I like to read, craft and travel. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
