I started with an agency in 2003 as direct care for people with developmental/intellectual disabilities. From there I took every training I could, became a Human Rights officer and transferred to higher care house. That role made me responsible for up to 4 clients at a time as well as over seeing ongoing and new employees Human Rights sensitivity trainings. Every person/case is different. Each person will have their own needs, abilities and requirements. Flexible is my middle name in these circumstances. I do not hold any degrees or current certifications (I do have the PCA&CPR) but my collection of experiences can certainly make me an asset to the right family.
