About Laurie

My interests are my family and getting the most out of life. I like to travel and have fun with my family. I like cooking, sewing, crocheting, love to bake. I like to draw and color and encourage kids to express themselves while doing so. I like painting ceramics and or wooden structures. I like creating things from something old. I have 4 children as well as 3 step-children ranging in ages from 28, 26, 25, 21, 22, 12 and 8 1/2. Most are grown and on their own now. I have always put their needs first, as they are my life. I will be a grandmother soon! I am as well a college graduate of medical assisting and I am as well certified in CPR. I am not fluent in Spanish, but speak the Spanish language very well, as my husband is Urguayian (South American). I have been a babysitter over the years since I was 10 yrs. of age for children ranging in ages from newborn to school age children that still need a babysitter. The tasks that were achieved during these times were, changing of diapers, dressing, preparing and serving of meals, bathing when necessary or requested by parents, simple arts and crafts, as well as going to parks for recreation or walks for fresh air. Things of that nature depending on the age of the child. I pride myself on being a very caring person and the compassion I have for others. I am always willing to go the extra mile when warranted.
