About Laurie

Making a difference in the lives of adults and seniors is my passion. After a fulfilling 20-year career in technology, I sought a more meaningful path within my community, especially after my own family's struggles to find adequate care for my mom during her battle with cancer. For the past three years, I've provided compassionate home health support, including respite care, transportation, and hospice services. I am adept at meal preparation, light housekeeping, and assisting with mobility and physical activities. I also have experience supporting individuals with dementia, adapting to changing routines, de-escalating stressful situations, and handling behavioral changes. My approach is rooted in earning trust, fostering mutual respect, and empowering clients and their families to live each day to its fullest potential. I prioritize clear communication with families through written reports and verbal updates, always following their preferred method. I am CPR and First Aid certified.
