About Laurie A

With 33 years of experience caring for babies, toddlers, children and children with special needs. I am deeply passionate about providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. I also served as an office manager with an Associates Degree in Business. I am trained in CPR and First Aid. I like working with kids because I enjoy helping them learn new things like crafts and reading books, participate in activities to gain confidence and physical health. My mother ran a daycare from our home and I helped as a young girl into my late teens, I had my own child in 1993 who had special needs. I continued to work for friends, family, and neighbors. In my spare time, I like to go fishing, camping and kayaking. I love to cook and make jewelry, tee shirts and tote bags. I am an avid reader. One thing you should know about me is I am very cautious and somewhat overprotective but also very fun. I respect the boundaries and rules that parents set for their children and ensure consistency.
