About Laurie

I enjoy being around elderly people. I believe, the wisdom they possess are the secrets of life. I love hearing about the life they lived and how they navigated through it all. Although I have not done any elder care since living in Maryland the past six years, I have over five years experience working with an elderly woman in New York, who I adored! If I didn't move from New York to Maryland, I would still be her assistant, which she lovingly referred to me as. I drove her on errands, grocery shopping, Doctor appointments, medical procedures, light house keeping, prepared meals, prepped meals, helped her organize her closets and draws. I've read books to her and listened to what it was like growing up in Italy. She showed me how to crochet and she taught me how to not let the little stuff bother me.
