About Lauren

Hi, I'm Lauren. I'm an experienced caregiver and educator with a background in teaching and hands-on childcare. I taught 8th grade for two years through Teach for America, and during Covid I ran a small pod school, spending full days supporting three third graders and three kindergartners. Over the years, I've also nannied children ranging from toddlers (age 2) through pre-teens (age 12), and I've taught swimming lessons to young children. I love helping kids feel safe, confident, and engaged, and I especially enjoy bringing out their natural curiosity through interactive learning and present, attentive care. I'm calm, dependable, and thoughtful in my approach. I'm happy to support routines, meals, homework, creative play, and emotional regulation. I take trust seriously and care deeply about creating a grounded environment where children feel seen and supported.
