About Lauren

I'd describe my personality as friendly, encouraging, and very good at listening. I am able to connect with others through caring for them and showing compassion. I like working with kids because I find it enjoyable to get to know their stories and all of the things that make each child unique. I enjoy seeing the different routines and bringing joy into the lives of the kids I spend time with. It also prepares me for everyday life and challenges and allows me to be actively working in different environments. I started working with kids when I was in 6th grade. I watched children at my church while small group/other events were happening. I have been a mother's helper while the mom was busy homeschooling the other children. I began to fully babysit more on my own when I was around 14, and all throughout I have been apart of children's ministry at church and always enjoyed spending time with kids whenever I could!
