About Lauren

Empowering students to reach their full potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. With three years of tutoring experience, a BA in English, and an MA in Professional Writing, I specialize in English and study skills, helping learners from elementary through college levels develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. My approach focuses on building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning rather than simple memorization. I assess individual learning styles by observing how you interact with new material and maintaining open communication about your needs. When concepts feel challenging, I connect them to your personal interests and break problems into manageable steps to build momentum. I am happy to work with you online or at my home. Seeing a student's confidence grow as they master new skills is the most rewarding part of my work. I look forward to supporting your academic journey and celebrating your success together.
