About Lauren

Hi! My name is Lauren. I am a CT - certified teacher for grades Pre-K - 6th, and have worked for many years as a general education teacher for first and second grade, and as a literature teacher and reading intervention specialist for fourth, fifth, and sixth grades. I have two masters degrees: an M. A. in Community Psychology from the University of New Haven, and an M. A. in Elementary Education from Western Governors University. Before teaching, I worked as a behavior specialist with children and teens with a variety of behavioral or mental health disorders. I absolutely love teaching and find working with children incredibly rewarding. Now that I have my own two little boys, I have made the transition from teaching full-time to tutoring.
