About Lauren

Hello, I am a former medical student looking to gain some caregiving experience. I have worked with a 94yr-old woman in NYC with severe knee issues yet am looking for new work as her medical issues have subsided. I have completed a psychiatry rotation in which I worked with patients with autism, dementia, traumatic brain injury, mood disorders, and schizophrenia. I absolutely loved spending time and listening to these types of patients. Although I know how to medically care for them, my favorite part of my experience was simply spending extra time to get to know them. I also have some experience in taking care of differently-abled children and simply babysitting for various families. Outside of work, I love to draw, paint, play board games, go to the park, and cook. I am very patient and calm but am happy to be assertive when necessary. I am also a big believer in motivational care for patients looking to have better relationships with family, eat healthier, etc.
