About Lauren

Private care is what I do. For 17 years, I've worked exclusively in private homes, caring for people across different stages of life. Naturally, that has meant becoming part of households with dogs, cats, and other pets and understanding how their care fits into the rhythm of a home. My experience with animals extends beyond traditional pet care. Through a long-term client, I became involved with the paws4people assistance-dog community at UNCW, accompanying them through receiving and working with their service dog. I've attended training, events, reunions, and awards and volunteered with paws4people at Addie's Way. I'm comfortable with feeding, walking, transportation, medications, appointments, and other pet needs as part of nanny, family assistant, household management, and caregiving roles. I bring the same calm, observant approach to animals as I do to people, learning their personalities and routines while helping the household run smoothly.
