I am a Special Education teacher looking for part time opportunities to help on nights and weekends. I have always had a passion for helping people with special needs. I volunteered in a special needs class at my church throughout my teen years. I was a personal nanny for a child with Cerebral Palsy and cognitive disabilities all through college and now teach a Life Skill class for a local school district. I volunteer with Special Olympics and other extracurricular school activities. It is my mission for my students to be treated fairly, included as much as possible with their general ed peers, and to achieve the highest level of independence possible. I am caring yet firm. I understand structure and clear expectations are vital to the care of special needs kiddos, but I definitely don't forget to have fun!

Lauren is a very reliable and kind hearted person. She has a ton of knowledge with working with the special needs individual and I wouldn't hesitate to let her watch my own children.
