About Lauren

After graduating from The California Institute of the Arts I created and directed an animated Short for Disney TV Animation. After that I worked on several adult swim stop-motion TV shows like Robot Chicken. I also write and illustrate children's books. Through it all I have worked with children. Either as a nanny or a private art tutor. I love to teach Art to children of all ages. There really is something creative for children as early as a year to do. Toddlers enjoy painting on long rolls of paper and just being able to get messy. While older children might prefer more of structured activity. The idea behind any project I facilitate is fun and freedom thus creating confidence. My whole approach is that nothing we create is is bad and everyone is an artist. While, we may all express differently that is exactly what makes our own gifts so special. If you would like a private lesson for your child or would even like to join in, please email me. Art projects are a great way to bond. I will bring all Art Supplies needed to complete a fantastic project. After creating I will clean up.
