About Lauren

Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential is my passion. With 9 years of experience, I hold a Masters of Art in Teaching degree that informs my approach to teaching Math, English, Science, and Study Skills. I am a certified elementary and special educator in grades K-6. I believe every student possesses unique strengths, so I foster a supportive environment where confidence grows alongside academic mastery. By breaking complex problems into manageable steps and connecting lessons to personal interests, I turn challenging concepts into "aha!" moments. I prioritize open communication with parents to ensure our goals remain aligned. Whether we meet at your home, a library, or online, I adapt my methods--using visual aids or hands-on activities--to suit your child's specific needs. I am also CPR training and First Aid certified. Helping your student discover the joy of learning is the most rewarding part of my day, and I look forward to growing together.
