Since August 2024, I've had the joy of nannying two sisters (now 6 and 9) during afterschool hours, and supporting three other families with occasional care (ages 10mo-5y). Prior, I served as a teaching assistant in Montessori Toddler (15mo-3y) and Children's House (3-6y) classrooms, and substituted in early elementary. I'm known for my ability to hold space for children while maintaining a calm presence. I adore children's natural curiosity, and seek to instill a sense of independence with developmentally-appropriate support and encouragement. I am skillful in mediating conflict between children, and enjoy fostering their social-emotional education. I love exploring the natural world and supporting their inner artist. I am very reliable and an excellent communicator. My priority is always a child's safety; I last completed a 4-hour Red Cross certification course in first aid and CPR for adults, children and infants in August 2023, and am happy to re-certify with financial assistance.

Lauren has been our after school babysitter for over a year now. She is truly amazing in every way. She has picked up our two girls after school (2 different schools, ages 6 and 9 now) and cared for them in the afternoons. She has provided snacks and meals when needed and transported them to afternoon sports and activities as needed. She has also helped with reading and homework for both girls. She has been 100% reliable and a consistent, caring presence for my daughters. She is calm, gentle, and nurturing. She is an excellent communicator. We all truly adore her and she has been such a positive person in our lives. We have also used her for weekend and weeknight date nights as needed. We would be comfortable leaving our children with her overnight as well. In summary, Lauren is a total gem.
