About Lauren

Hi, I'm Lauren! I recently graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia with a degree in biology, where I worked as a tutor for two years. I love teaching and tutoring and have worked with students of all ages. I am passionate about improving students' understanding and enjoyment of their classes, and I work hard to personalize my tutoring approach to the needs of each student. I worked as an education intern at both a zoo and a nature center, where I lectured to hundreds of tourists about biology and the environment. I led elementary and middle school students in educational activities. I also worked as a TA and tutor for college biology, statistics, and French courses. I successfully led group review sessions along with individual work sessions for dozens of students. I hope to work with your student! I will approach each student as an individual with specific needs and will work with them to identify their goals and individualize their tutoring experience.
