I am very passionate about my job and love being a Special Education teacher! I have been in the special education field for over 10 years. I currently teach a therapeutic classroom consisting of 2nd and 3rd grade children with social/emotional needs and behaviors. I have experience working with many different population in the special education field such as autism, deaf-blindness, emotional disturbance, hearing impairment, intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, orthopedic impairment, health impairment (G-tube and seizure), specific learning disability, speech or language impairment, traumatic brain injury and visual impairment. My diverse experience has given me the unique ability to take all experiences (academic or not) and create teachable moments for all different children!
