About Laurel

Hello families! Here's a bit about me. I have 7 years experience as a full time nanny and have been babysitting for almost 20 years. I have a Bachelor's degree in fine art with a concentration in Art Therapy. I have completed coursework in developmental psychology, sociology, and early childhood education. During undergrad I interned in an art room assisting children with disabilities in an educational setting. I volunteered at Glazer Children's Museum in Tampa, Florida where I supervised children on the floor and assisted projects in the art lab. I also volunteered at Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo, engaging children through therapeutic play on the Same Day Surgery unit. Through my work I have fostered my passion for childhood development and strive to do my best every day with the children in my care. I am patient, fun-loving and helpful around the house. I consider myself a great communicator. It is my mission to be an asset to the families I serve!
